Help!!!

Hi,
I have a question.How do you save an image into a PSD?
I tried and it wouldn't let me save it.
So far rather than saving the image as a PSD I saved them as a PDF format
and people at

psd_tuts are angry that I broke the rules by saving them as PDF.
And that I saved the post as "friends only". Look I'm sorry for giving attitude, but there was no need for people to attack me like that. I have feelings too you know. So if someone could please help me I would greatly apperciate it.
